About the Ambassador

Boris Valábik is a former professional hockey player, now a well-known presenter, commentator and sports personality. A native of Nitra, born in 1986, he was drafted in the 1st round of the NHL by the Atlanta Thrashers in 2004 and during his career he played in the overseas NHL and AHL, as well as in European leagues - including the Czech Extraliga and the Slovak Tipsport League.

At over two meters tall, he was an unmissable defender on the ice with an emphasis on physical play. After his career ended, he became a prominent face of Slovak sports - he works as a commentator and presenter.
