Jan Smigmator is a leading Czech swing and jazz singer, following in the footsteps of legends like Frank Sinatra and Tony Bennett. In April 2023, he became the first Czech jazz soloist to perform at New York's Carnegie Hall, where he was accompanied by a stellar international sextet.

He has released five studio albums, including successful recordings dedicated to Gershwin and the album "Murphy's Law" sung in Czech, and in 2023 he released a live recording from a concert in New York. He often performs with his own quartet or big band and with major orchestras, is the host of the Klub Evergreen program on Czech Radio Dvojka, and collaborates with a number of leading Czech and international musicians.
