Albini Group is a family-owned company founded by Zaffiro Borgomanero in 1876 in the Italian town of Albino, in the province of Bergamo.

From the outset, the firm specialised in producing fine shirting fabrics. Over time the company grew, and today Albini is the largest European manufacturer of shirting fabrics.

Since 2017, Albini Group has been a member of the Better Cotton Initiative, a non-profit organisation whose mission is to progressively improve global cotton production.

A notable achievement of the first decade of the 21st century was the construction of a weaving mill directly in Egypt, the home of the luxury cotton known as Giza.
