The Italian manufacturer Albini has come up with an innovative shirt fabric that offers all the benefits of a high-quality cotton cloth and moreover in no way restricts movement. And as the manufacturer itself says, the foundation is a high-quality raw material. For this fabric, long-staple Supima cotton from California is selected.
The elasticity of cotton cloth
Elastic cotton fabrics are nothing new. You will certainly find stretch shirts on the market that contain cotton in their composition, perhaps even cotton of high quality. However, there is always either an admixture of another material that lends the shirt its elasticity, or it is achieved by chemical means.
The disadvantages of elasticity achieved through chemistry
Chemically induced elasticity of the fabric is not lasting. If the customer wants to preserve it as long as possible, the shirt must be handled with great care. As a rule, the shirt may not be dried in a domestic tumble dryer and is often sensitive to ironing and certain laundry products. And, what is certainly the most important, no chemistry is entirely harmless to nature. So the less of it we use in production, the better.
Fortunately, development at Albini is constantly moving forward and listens to the wishes of customers and the needs of our planet. Thus the revolutionary Yoga finish was born. In it, the fabric is, at the final stage of production, mechanically treated so that it acquires natural elasticity. No chemistry or synthetic fibre admixture is used.
With the Yoga finish, the natural elasticity is permanent. This is ensured by the careful selection of the raw material, the weave of the cloth and a special mechanical treatment at the end of the whole process.

A shirt sewn from fabric with the Yoga finish is 100% natural. It contains no added synthetic fibres whatsoever.
