Designer Veronika Bobčíková is responsible at Blažek for the complete design of outerwear — that is, jackets and coats. As part of the creative team, she also helps shape the direction of the entire collection.

Which three pieces from the new spring collection does she love the most?

Local swimwear with a global character

A novelty in this collection is swimwear made from a fabric supplied by our leading shirting partner, Albini. The practical benefits — fast-drying, colour-fast material — will be better described by our marketing colleagues, but what really excites me is that worldly floral print! Hibiscus is a plant found all over the world. It grows in southern Moravia, where I come from, as well as along the coast of the Indian Ocean. So atmospherically, these trunks can take you halfway around the world — even from the comfort of your nearest pond.

Camel-coloured minimalism

I'm a fan of minimalist style — as the saying goes, less is (always) more. Although this coat stands out with its unusual camel-like colour, it still ties in beautifully across the collection and pairs perfectly with the other pieces. And those white trainers with it — that's a true tribute to minimalism.

A spring ode to the blazer

This is one of my favourite blazers from the last several collections. Beautiful colouring, wonderfully versatile — even style-wise. And the holy trinity of wool, silk and linen gives it excellent practical qualities for warmer days. For me, it's the very definition of spring.
